Associations & Organizations

Advanced Overhead Crane Services maintains membership and involvement in many organizations related to the overhead material handling industry. Standards, Regulations, Codes and Safety requirements are constantly changing. AOC priority and mission is to stay in the forefront of these topics, sharing with the customer and providing a continued education program for the AOC crane inspector.

American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)

AOC is a member of ASME. We work with various ASME B30 committee members in providing input to the B30 Standards. Safety Codes and Standards are intended to enhance public safety. Revisions result from committee consideration of factors such as technological advances, new data and changing environmental and industry needs. www.asme.org

Crane Certification Association of America (CCAA)

AOC is a member of the CCAA. As a member of the CCS (Certified Crane Surveyor) committee, we are involved in developing the qualifications and testing to qualify a certified crane inspector. The purpose of the association is to promote crane safety, improve the certification profession and address the subject of crane safety in governmental forums. www.ccaaweb.org


Houston Area Safety Council (HASC)

AOC is a member of the HASC. The Houston Area Safety Council provides the training and testing for safety, health and environmental training employees working in the greater Houston area. www.hacsc.com

Houston Business Roundtable (HBR)

AOC is a member of the HBR. The Houston Business Roundtable is a non-profit association whose membership consists primarily of refining, chemical and energy companies. The HBR mission is to develop, share and promote best practices that improve industry performance in areas of safety, health, environment, workforce skills, work quality, productivity and costs. www.houbrt.com

ISNetworld (ISN)

AOC is registered with ISNET. ISNetworld is the global resource for connecting corporations with safe, reliable contractors/suppliers from capital-intensive industries. ISN provides an online contractor management database, ISNetworld. ISN collects health, safety, procurement, quality and regulatory information designed to meet governmental record keeping and owner client requirements. Through its review and verification services (RAVS), ISN's subject matter experts review and verify contractors' self-reported information. Contractors also use ISNetworld to manage internal training and record keeping requirements. www.isnetworld.com

National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO)

Management at AOC is a member of the NCCCO Crane Inspector Task Force. The task force is responsible to develop a new national certification program for crane inspectors in partnership with the CCAA. www.nccco.org

National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)

AOC is a member of the NFPA. The NFPA writes the National Electrical Codes (NEC). AOC is a Texas licensed electrical contractor. We are always on the forefront of the new codes. Electricians we employ go through a continued education process which includes testing on the new Codes yearly. www.nfpa.org

Texas Electrical Safety Association (TESA)

AOC is a member of the TESA. The TESA promotes electrical safety, training and education. The TESA provides this continued education to members. TESA focuses on local and state legislative activity and informs you of current changes. Getting involved with TESA is a great way to gain knowledge concerning issues relating to state and local licensing laws. You have an opportunity to advocate for or against proposed changes to the laws. www.t-e-s-a.org
