Advanced Overhead Crane
Advanced Overhead Crane
Hoist used to load an NC machine.
This is what happens when operater
starts the machine before unhooking the load.
This unit has been two-blocked a number of times and the operator was
not aware that the hook travel must stop before striking the hoist. It appears
that both the owner and operator are in need of attending the required operator training program.

These equalizer sheave pins came from two different crane users.
Both of these companies perform in-house maintenance on the equipment.
Like many in-house maintenance programs they tend to be reactive instead
of proactive when
it comes to the overhead cranes.
"You have to believe me boss, it was my wifes fault. She had me on the cell phone when I was backing up."

Discovered this while tracing a feeder circuit for a monorail hoist back to the breaker panel.
