Crunch Time
A Houston manufacturer had a 100 tons of steel coming in and required a new 10-ton top riding trolley hoist. Advanced Overhead Crane
had a week and a day to deliver and install a finished product. We found the deck mount hoist in Chicago
and the trolley drives in Pennsylvania.

were assembled, painted, wired and installed by the sixth work day. The hoist is the new ACCO Heavy rated series.
This is the third ACCO Heavy rated hoist ordered by this manufacturer.

was responsible for the complete design, fabrication and installation of the entire self-supporting structure,
bridge cranes and column footings. The footings were a special bell shaped design to compensate for poor soil conditions.
The bridge cranes included many safety features such as anti-collision on the bridge and step down limits on the trolley.
Both bridge and trolley featured VFD control. All functions operate by radio control and the radio system has the capability
of operating both cranes in tandem. Both cranes feature push button control as a back up in case of radio failure.
A safety concern of the customer was to eliminate all high speed operations of all functions automatically while
operating in tandem. This was achieved by redesigning the circuitry. The trolley hoists and bridge end trucks were
provided by ACCO.
